The president of the Supreme Court of Kenya , Chief Justice David Maraga has said the Supreme Court of Kenya is ready to handle any petitions challenging the win of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 26th polls.

His spokesman Mundia Muchiri indicated that CJ Maraga was ready to take the job and intimidation from any politician is not going to be acceptable. This comes after re-elected President went ahead and called the supreme court judges “Wakora” after the highest court of the land nullified his victory.

This was pure intimidation coming from the executive. Maraga’s sentiments were further cemented by the supreme court registrar, Esther Nyaiyaki who firmly reiterated that they were not going to be intimidated by politicians. She also said they were leaving the registry open for anybody that might want to file a petition challenging the win of Uhuru Kenyatta.
